Latest Work in Progress, and a New Studio (Thanks to my Mom!)

Have I mentioned how much I love to paint? It's major therapy for me.

I'm currently working on a commission that includes 4 portraits. The first one is coming along, but isn't quite finished yet.

So today I was talking to my mom about how I really need a better place than the current spot I was using to paint. 

It worked, but wasn't exactly ideal.

She so kindly offered half of her laundry room that was mainly used for storage, and which is right outside of our door that connects our basement apartment to their part of the house. 

She cleaned the area out for me, and now *insert great big happy sigh* I have a real, designated spot to paint! One that is separate from curious little hands and high traffic. Hallelujah!

Mercedes is loving the area just as much as I am. I think we will be painting together a lot more often.
