No More Library Books for This Guy

Teddy is very two these days. VERY two. On one particular day last week I heard Mercedes GASP and then yell "Mom!" I walked over and found that Teddy had shredded the end off of an entire library book page. He also took a bite (yes, you heard that correctly) off of the corners of several other pages. 

That was not the first library book damage he had caused. But this one cost us.

I walked into the library today and sheepishly handed the torn book over to the lady at the counter. She took a look at the damage and then explained that since pieces were actually missing (the ones he bit off), I would have to pay for the book. SO, I forked over $16 and we now call the book ours. It's not the most exciting book, but not the worse either, so I guess it's okay. 

Teddy's library book probation will begin when he stops eating books.

I just keep having to remind myself that all of Teddy's explosive energy and rambunctious personality will be a great thing someday. For now it is difficult but mostly for Mercedes. She gets the brunt of it. 

Someday you guys will get along better. Hopefully sooner than later!

For now, I've gotta find a new *high* place to keep the library books.
